Sandboxie, running each web browser in its own virtual space

I have been running Sandboxie a while with Google Chrome and MSIE.  It works fine on my laptops so it must have been some updates that needed to be installed which had nothing to do with the Sandboxie user experience.

I haven't had any issues with Sandboxie but some programs will launch the default web browser without the Sandboxie controls of course since the default web browser is not Sandboxie but it is what is configured within Windows which in my HP laptop's case is MSIE 11.  I sometimes forget to close the browser and re-open the one controlled by Sandboxie so that could easily allow virii into the o/s or to Kaspersky.

I don't currently have anti-virus installed on my desktop computer or this laptop and I have not been getting any virii or malware.  This laptop, the Dell Vostro, has Sandboxie installed.  It is just a core2duo but everything works great.

I am starting to wonder if there is a way to implement this in a corporate environment.  Since Sandboxie requires licensing, it could possibly be something that would require additional configuration after being implemented within a system roll-out.  I would be looking into this if I was supporting a large number of systems now, rather than trying to have people use Windows XP mode.

Virtualizing my web browsers was pretty much the only reason why I was going to use Windows XP mode, but it is a bit tedious to have to boot up a full installation of Windows XP within Windows 7 and then do all the web browsing in there.  It doesn't seem like there really was anything else I was thinking to do with Windows XP mode.

For sure, if Sandboxie catches on very well or if something similar is implemented into Windows in the future, I am sure that malicious virus coders will indeed write programs that bypass it.  At least, for now, it is a very solid solution.

I would have to say that those whom get virii and use sandboxie either do one of the following:

1) Run a program that they had downloaded outside of the Sandboxie environment
or
2) Mistakenly think they are within Sandboxie but are just using the default browser setting

Luckily with either of the above I have not got a virus within the past couple of months.  I will just have to make sure to install Kaspersky on my Dell and desktop PC and make sure Sandboxie is installed and configured properly on all of them.  At least that does not take very much time to do.
